Back from the BDC at Donington. Sunstroke wasn’t a planned part. Shot a lot of yesterday feeling pretty terrible. Anyways, was a damn good event, already got a qualifying report up on OMGDrift, with an event report up soon.

Two of the biggest pictures I’ve ever taken. Easily big enough to cover a wall and still not lose quality. Insane!

Both are from the waterfalls at Loweswater, climbed all the way up. With a bag of camera gear on your back it gets pretty hairy…

Self Scan.

So seeing as the scans from the professional looked compressed to hell, I thought I’d better see what I could do. Put the film on the window, flipped my 50mm and took a quick shot.

Not professional, but better. Higher resolution (6000 width compared to 1500), no compression, more detail, more soul.

FILM!!

So got the test film back that I shot on my SPII. Mix of light leaks, shutter lags and whiteout exposures. Yet for normal Kodak 400, look at them tones! Need to get shooting more of this stuff and fix the lightmeter!
